I had an ATC70 with the same problem... But my problem developed over time - then finally decided to just jump out of gear.
To fix it required new shifting forks (In the tranny).
This isn't an easy fix - but those forks are pretty cheap.

are you sure that it will be the fork or are there any other posibilities , i de really hate to do a complete tear down if i can avoid it , it seem funny that it would do this so suddenly , i haven t used it much because i had recently bought it and it wasn t doing it before ,but at the same time who knows the history , it seems to be in good shape , i m going down to Princess AUTO they have a haynes type of book on trikes ,this sucks i ve always loved trikes ,always thought that the tranny was bullit proof on the honda s shoulda bought the 200x that was in the same paper only 200 more ,then i d probably enjoy a tear down ,live an learn

hey guys found the problem ,the the shift stopper arm is f@#@ing gone ,i tore off the side cover and noticed where there is a piece off casting broken , it still has three theads ,upon looking in my book i noticed that the stopper arm is missing (broken off) so luckly i m a machinist and i ll be able to do an abortion on this thing , how the hell it worked up to now is beyond me but i figured i d let you guys in on this , funny though the bolts were pretty siezed so this thing has been like this for a long time , some people are abslute morons , and should stick to riding and fixing bicycles , even then i m sure they ll f@#@ that up as well , , oh by the way the only decent quad ever built was the yamaha banshi ,figured i d just throw that in , TRIKES RULE

funny...just yesterday tore my buddies 125M apart and found the EXACT same problem. Its a $9 part, so we ordered one. Youd think they would be made better, but that damn pot metal just doesn't hold up to power shifting.
