#1
I have a '96 wolverine that I bought new and haven't done a thing to it but ride. What are the best inexspensive mods you can do to this thing? Air box?, filter?, jetting?, exhaust?, any other? I don't need a big bore kit.

FIRST OFF pay him no mind ^^^^ second off welcome to the forms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and power wise it depends on how much you want to spend if i was you i would get a CAM---K&N AIR FILTER with dyno jet kit -----and a HMF slip on pipe that would give you some great power gains. And you should check with www.SWEETQUADS.com for those parts he has good prices ive never bought from him but theres alot of good post on him.

Start off with the warn 424 select thing, it will let you disengage the front wheels and that alone will give you some more pep, then start with the usual mods, exhaust, intake, and jets. then you can start going crazy and get a cam, hi comp piston, etc. Welcome to the site, some poeple on here suck but for the most everyone is cool, check out www.BlueOOTraxx.com for a yamaha only forum, just take out the 00, theres a filter that won't let me post the real name.

The Warn 424 is a real great performance enhancer, putting all that power to the rear makes a world of difference, I powerslide corners like a sport quad, and can whip a donut on the road for quick turnarounds, no more front end pulling you around in a big circle, makes tight turns on a trail easier. A good slip on and a filter kit ( find a clamp on adapter, get rid of that slide in foam seal set up) with a jetting change will make a noticable difference without breaking the bank. You can get a complete performance kit from Highlifter, a Wiseco 10.25 piston in your choice of over bore, Web cam, Supertrapp IDS exhaust, filter and plug for around 400 bucks, of course then you have to factor in engine work for the piston, gaskets, labor, etc. But for a lower cost, that keeps the engine stock, the 424 and pipe/filter/jetting will get you a great bang for the buck.
