Its a camshaft, it controls the opening and closing of the valves in your motor, check out this site, it'll help you out.

I flipped the rear and front OEM wheels, and added 1.5" wheel spacers up front. It handles awesomely now. If you don't do big MX jumps, go for it. It makes a huge difference and I love it. Oh, and I'm using that setup with the same tires, check my gallery pics if you're interested.

A good aftermarket carb (one with a pumpshot) or a cdi make a hell of a difference on the warrior, I would recommend both before digging into the engine. Those will give one hell of a punch that you can have fun with until you save enough for the engine mods. Cutting the mudguards and a oil cooler are also simple mods you can do in the meantime that aren't that expensive. When you do dig in the engine the web cam I would recommend also, I've only seen one on a 400EX so far, but that was only a all around cam, and they make a race style cam for the warrior. That all around one was a mean motherf*cker on the EX. Oh yeah, a set of tougher brakes and a self cleaning rotor could come in handy on the back end, since the stockers will probably score and start crumbling soon on you, depending what you ride in. The front rotors are excellent though, and they shouldn't be a problem. Being able to stop quick is a good thing when you'll be starting to go much faster.
