Default Output volts for 05 700efi

I'm just wondering what you guys are getting for output volts on your efi's when it is running. If mine is running at idle and I go into diagnostics and check it is running about 14.1 volts to 14.3 about all the time even if I rev engine to 3000rpm's. If my fan comes on and I turn my lights on then it will go down to about 13 to 13.5 volts. I checked the battery with a multi tester and I come up with the same numbers. Wondering if my voltage regulator is shot. My repair manual states that between 3000 and 4000 rpms it should run between 13 to 14.6 volts. I talked to the dealer and he said it was normal, not sure if I believe that. What do you guys have for numbers on your machines at idle, could you please let me know. Thanks

Your Battery voltage sounds normal under operating conditions, most charging systems will charge 2-2.5 volts higher than the battery voltage. This is to overcome the electron barrier in the battery and charge it. If your charging system was only putting out 12v at full RPM your battery would never charge.

Well even by your measurements it is in the normal range. Your regulator is working fine, ride and enjoy.
