big bore? rancher?

This is an interesting idea! I like the Ranchers smaller size and weight, but it wouldn't hurt if it had some more power. Actually it is only a 329 (or something like that), so a jump to 400 would be an awfull big one. I wish they made the Rancher 400 in a manual transmission!

yea, i know its 329, i wish it was like 375 or something, its fine in summer but pushing in 6inch or higher snow, im kind of stuck to 2nd or maybe 3rd gear it just don't have the power to turn the wheels, they don't make any kits? what the hell do u do when u wear it out?

I'm with LittleBill on this one! Most of the situations where I use a ute are very tight very technical trails and rock crawling. A larger/heavier machine would be a decided disadvantage! Sure a bigger machine will have more horsepower, but a good deal of that power is just wasted hauling around all that extra weight and bulk. With the racks stripped off, I can get my Rancher down to 450 lbs., which is in sport bike territory!
Check out dwpalmers picks. This Rancher is a 589!
