i cant decide which one to get. Anyone here have either on a 400 at? they claim 20% power increase with the ute series. i can t read their graphs on teh web site to tell which i want. only a $20 diffrance between the to but the penland only comes in brushed. any help in making choice would be great.

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]i got the hmf utility series for my at,it totally changed the bike.It is much more powerful than stock.I also have a k & n airfilter.I highly suggest it,you will be amazed.The stock pipe is very restrictive and slows you down.I have had my rancher for one year and it has 3300 miles,it is a very good machine.i can leave 700 prairie if i'm in the front because of the pipe and mine handles and goes much better in 4wd than the prairie.I hold it wide open but now i have too let off because of the extra power..Get one you'll be good too go...

 

Does the hmf pipe make the machine a lot louder. I'm thinking about getting one for my AT, but I don't want a real noisy machine.

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]It does make it louder,but it's not that loud..It sounds excellent,it has a nice deep tone.My friends say it dont bother them when their behind me.It is well worth the noise for the power you get,like i said it totally changes the bike..You can get the pipe and filter for less than $300,good investment.It revs higher and everything.

 

well i just ordered the utility series from gopartsdirect.com. they didnt carry the penland slipon. their prices were the best i found 216.95 to my door. i will probley wish i had got the penland and wondered how much more power i could have had. i'm getting a uni filter also. HMF said to use a 142 jet and i have heard this is what the AT comes with??? anyone know?? hope to see good gains with it. to anyone looking for more power in the AT i have found that high test fuel DOES make a diffrance in mine. i only use Shell.

The utility series is the most powerful pipe with the most gain in power.The rancher does come with the 142 jet stock.Mine runs excellent.Let me know how it turns out..My pipe was $219,so thats a good price..I got the brushed aluminum,it's much lighter than the stock pipe also.
