Default 05 Sportsman 600 ISSUES!!!!

I Just bought a new 05 600, put one mile on it, shut it off and the cooling fan wont shut off, I though, well it might run for a while, i checked on it like 40 minutes later and it was still running, The only way to get it off was to un hook the wire harness to the fan..

Then i wend to start it, and the starter stuck N: i shut the key off, and the starter kept trying to turn the motor over... turned the key on and off about 6 times to stop the starter.......

Im bringing it back to the dealer and im pretty dissapointed that these basic things dont work out of the box........

Other wise im pretty impressed with the ride and power it has.. well worth the extra 300 bucks over the 500 ho

Can't say on the fan, but I can on the starter. The starters are really tight when you first get them, if you tap on the solenoid/starter, it will disengage. It may do it a few times, but well wear in....and all will be fine. My '05 700 EFI was the same way.

On the fan, dunno. Never heard of that happening, but sounds like the sensor may be bad, causing the fan to keep running.

the sensor for the fan is been bad on several 05 sportsmans whitch cause the fan to run constantly and give you overheating warnings on your display on speedo. they should cover it.

I have also seen the starter solenoid do this on an 05 800 EFI....
I had to disconnect the battery and replace the solenoid before I could hook the battery back up....
Not sure on the fan... never had that happen...

The ECM is probably the problem with the fan and the starter stayed engaged from a lack of voltage. There was a recall for the ECM's.
