Default Gear oil

What gear oil should be used on a mini ??

If you have a CVT tranny, then 80-90 gear oil will work great. If you have a sight glass to check the level, some folks like to use Polaris Blue gear oil. This oil is blue and thus very easy to see through the sight glass. For ease of 7 oz install, you may want to use a special tool like, - Click here to see picture -

Or:
7 ounce [US, liquid] = 14 Tablespoon [US]

when I did our ds-50 it wanted 100 cc, if I remember correct,
100 cubic centimeter = 6.7628045 Tablespoon [US],
at least teblespoons are something we all have for a quick easy measure.

!0-40 motor oil works as well as any.
I use auto tranny oil, but I don't recommend it for the typical use. It's mostly for TT racing.
