My buddies 250x is actin kinda crappy, it seems like somethin isn't right because when you accelerate its still revving like it was in the past gear and doesn't feel like it has shifted at all, it mainly did this shifting from 4th to fifth when i rode it but it did do it a little bit in every gear. I'm hoping its just the clutch plates needing replaced but theres still that chance that his trans is going to crap. It very well could be because the past owner of this 250x was a total retard and abused it pretty bad. Thanks

 

Sounds like the clutch may be slipping. Is it properly adjusted? The clutch lever should have some play in it.
