I am thinking about buying an ATV. I am down to two a 05 yamaha Raptor 660 and 05 KAWASAKI KFX 400. I can get them for $ 5500.00. which is the best for the money/first time rider?

If you want some good feedback from the forums, you have to give some more input. All the manufacturers are putting out quality quads... but some are better suited for certain types of riders or certain types of riding. How big are you? How experienced are you? What kind of terrain are you riding on? Answer those questions and you'll get lots of feedback.

 

I'll vote for the Kawie, and here is why- It will be a bit more easy to control(better handling, less power/not as wheelie happy), comes with better front shocks, easier to rejet for mods/season/elevation changes(only one carb) Both models have proven reliable after their respective first model years.
