hey a little off topic here but maybe someone can help?? i have a 350 its bored 30 over with high comp pistons, mild stage one cam ,roller 1.6 ratio roller rockers, 202 fuelie heads ,edelbrock intake ,edel brock carb , headers etc etc my questions is i just took the heads off and the ends of the pushrods ( the top by the rockers) where crushed !! i am also using pushrod guide plates. i think the wrong pushrods and they werent hard enough?? anyone else have any ideas?? i believe they are stock lenght any help is appreciated!!!!!

In all my years of building and looking at SBC I have never seen "crushed push rods." Was there wear from the guide plates? If there was, that's the problem. It got thin from the wear and collapsed. Was there any valve problems like interferance? Was the push rods bent?

You have some kind of clearence problem. Make sure the valves didn't hit the pistons. If the heads have been milled there may not be any clearence between piston/valve.
Also check for coil bind. Once you can find where the clearence prob. is then you will know what steps to take to solve it.

the valves apear to be ok there are no marks on the pistons im kinda of thinking the roller rockers are the problem anyway i have the heads at a machine shop so hopefully i will know tomorrow what the problem is!!

alright the machine shop just called and it turns out the heads i bought which where supposedly for a 350 are actually off a 327 so they are going to completly redo them and set them up for my application
