I would like to know what oils to run, rather than buy the Polaris brand stuff. I will run synthetic good quality oils, I just dont think the factory stuff is worth the price. The main question is the polaris angle drive oil, what is its equivelent. The ATV is also very slow to warm up and idle consistently without going dead. Is this normal or do I need to make an adjustment. I also have an RPM related rattle that I believe is coming from the exhaust where the manifold and the head pipe mate in the spring joint. Is this common and expected or is there a fix. Thanks for any and all help

 

on my sp 700 carb i use amsoil 0-40. About the same price as polaris 0-40 @ $ 5.90 per Qt.
I have always had an exhaust rattle from day one.

I had the same rattle on my 05 sp700. The rubber pad where it sits on fill apart. I unhooked the spring that holes it to the rubber pad and unscrewed it a little. This stopped the rattle for now. It is right under the right side panel where the pipe bends around after the manifold
