PRM makes a full skid plate for the Rancher. I have one on mine and I am very happy with it. Fits perfect and was around $99.00. Get ready to hear a lot of things hit it you never heard before. Comforting to know that the wiring and the whole front end of the engine are protected.

I also have PRM skid plates. I like them ALOT! They are noisy though...meaning that you will hear the plate hitting more stuff. Fit like a glove too. If you get PRM plates, start mounting from the front. It will make things much easier.
My friend has plastic on his Arctic Cat, says they are ok, but he is going to an aluminum like mine.
By the way...Prm's plates are the thickest I have found. .250" vs the .190" most others use.

Where did you all get the PRM skid plate from as I'm getting to ready to buy one and from what you've all said it seems like the PRM is the one to get.

I recently installed a plastic skidplate from ATVCharlies on my Rancher. The fit was just fine and I especially appreciated the fact that the design includes folding up and over the front bash plate.

I have a Maier on my Foreman and it has worked very well. It, however, did not cover the front bash plate which was a short coming.

The plastics do not make the bike noticably louder.

Im thinking about putting some under neath protection on my quad.Where I ride I hear things hitting with nuthin installed. Is the PRM worthy enough to put on my Rancher. Does it fit tight and not come loose and rattle ? I dont want to have any cheesy low quality crap on my Rancher. The PRM looks pretty good and was wandering if it is the best.
