Default how hot should clutch cover be?

the other day me and a friend riding in one of my pastures. and after a full day of going up and down hills i put my hand on the clutch cover and it was pretty warm. about as hot as the bag of popcorn right out of the microwave (if that makes any sense). does this sound to hot? and yes i was in low.

they do get pretty hot. I've got an aquarium thermostate, the stick-on kind, on
my TB and it goes over 110 degrees!
