What is needed to get a Blaster to Wheelie?
#1
Hey all, I'm new here, so take it easy on me. What performance mods are needed to get my Blaster to wheelie? As well, what skills/how should I proceed to get the front off the ground. Should I just rev the snot out of it and drop the clutch or what? How do I attempt this??

well it is quite simple to ride a wheelie on a blaster. There are number of ways to do it. One it to sit in the middle of the seat, first gear, rev the motor back and fourth(push in and let out on the gas) , lean forward then as u jerk back on the handle bars drop the clutch and she should come up. The other way to do it is stand on the grab bar and rev it and drop the clutch... i like to do mine in 3rd gear... all i have to do it just pull back and it comes up. I have a video on this fourm... go back to YAMAHA and scroll down and open one called NEW riding video. click the link and watch me ride the wheelies.

practice! practice! practice! is all it takes. a lot of it too. you dont need modds to wheelie. you can wheelie it stock no problem. start out small. put it in 1st or 2nd and get moving along slowly and gas it while leaning back. the front end should pop up a bit. get used to that and it will all come along natuarally in due time. you just have to find the balance point then you can go forever. if you get real good you can use the rear brake to bring your nose down if you get a little carried away. dont worry im still learning too and ive had my blaster for almost 2 years... you will most likely end up with your butt on the ground and you blaster on its grab bar a few times. i did. its ok tho. keep on trying. engine modds may make it easier to get the front end up but only practice will help you keep those wheelies going safely and under control. remember start out small and wear a helmet. you dont HAVE to dump the clutch and rev the snot out of it to get the front end up. good luck! have fun...

all u need is a hand full of throtle, *****, and a helmet!!! do not for get the helmet. anything can and will happen at any speed at any time. stand up, lean back, hammer it, and find the balance point of the quad. dont get frustrated it takes time. i still have trouble on my 400ex and they are known as "the wheelie king".

alright i got it shorten your swingarm down about 4inches take off your front bumper and make you a back grabbar out of solid steel.. LOL J/K.. If i was you i would just try leaning back on the seat a little and rev it up and pop the clutch thats about as easy as i can explain it... or when you get it going let off the gas then hit it real hard and pull up on the handlebars thats what a friend of mine does on his Raptor 350 ... But as far as power wheelies like you see people do on YFZs and Z i wouldn't cant on it unless you put you some money in your quad... hope this helps
