Default Clutch will not work

I have put in a new clutch and I still can't get the gears to disengage. I pull the clutch lever in and Sprocket will rotate freely. I have adjusted the clutch cable with no luck.

Questions:
Does the case have to be sealed for the clutch to work properley?

What else should I be looking at?

Thank you for any help you can give.

Is it a new basket. I have had a situation where new plates were getting caught in the tiny grooves in a slightly worn basket ?
Cant wait to see some pictures. The clutch isn't disengaging right ? Thats the problem your having right or do I need some reading lessons ?

Well I got it fixed last night. I guess the case has to be sealed for the clutch to work properly. I did look at the clutch basket and it looked and felt okay. However, now I have another problem the water pump leaks anti freeze and I know it is the seal but I think I messed up the metal flange that goes around the shaft. I am going back to Honda tonight to see how I can fix that. the positive note is that I got it started for the 1st time in the two years I have had. It has been a long and expensive road to restore the beast.
