winch problems

Default winch problems

ok when i have been winching for a while and the battery starts to get a lil drained my atv will not run at all. i hit the in button and keep the motor reved up and it just dies the second i hit the switch but when the battery gets charged up it works fine. any ideas? trying to winch out a blazer and it was bothering me lol look at my pics.

Default winch problems

Either your charging systems is weak or the winch is drawing more amps than your battery and charging system can cover. My first choice would be the charging system is weak. Most likely is a diode in the rectifier is blown or the regulator is bad. Then again it could be a weak stator (charge coil), but this is least likely. If the winch is over amping, the motor is bad or there is a loose or dirty or corroded connection.

get a new battery that can take the winch.

thanx for the idea's guys i think first i am gonna try just cleaning all the connections.
