what oil should i run in a kodiak 450 and a grizzly? and is there separate tranny and engine oil? Thanks im a dirtbike guy looking to change the oil for my buddy.

 

my 04 450 says to use SG oil, in 10 w 30 weight. Make sure it does not have moly in it, look for the star burst symbol on the can, if its on there, then moly has been added. You can use motorcycle oil.
heres a list of replacement filters, you dont have to use the yamaha brand.

I would recommend using castrol motorcycle oil it has the SG rating and also valvoline ATV oil is good too. Good luck!!!
