Al Gore was an "advocate" for the internet in 1994. He did not invent it. The internet had it's beginnings in 1969 and was in use by the military and other government agencies, beginning in 1972. It became more wide spread in 1988 and was pretty much opened up to the general public, via pc use, in the mid nineties, at the time when Gore, as well as others, were involved as advocates, which means nothing more than that they were supporters of the internet, not inventors. Just thought I would set the record straight! You all can find this same information by typing in the word "internet" on your computer and researching from there. Jim.
