this is for anybody that has a ported and polished 440EX. where did you get your work done, how much was it, what other kinds of mods to you have? Anything and everything you can tell me about your motor. thanks for any info you give me. as for what i am looking for is a 440 that does good in the woods and mx track.

 

I have a stroked 440. It is the 416 piston with 4mm of stroke. The head is ported for torque, and has a Web camshaft 450-451 sitting on top of it. the set up is was done for woods riding ,torque and that is what it has. I weigh over 250 lbs and can ride tight trails with 16 37 gearing with 22" raxr2s. The worst down fall to this quad is the rate I run thru grips. 3 good rides and I wear them out.

Go to Powroll.com and read up on thier stroker 440. That is the kit I have, and a local guy ported it for me. they can do all the work, though.

 

thanks man, that seems like a pretty sweet set up. where did you get your cam from? did you get hd springs and hardfaced rockers? anyone else, i know a lot of you guys out there have had work done.
