How many 400 cat owners are here..!!
#1
I have an 05 400 auto that I really like. I see that some have done modes to there 400 such a epi clutch kits, jetting, tires, ..etc
I posted a question earlier but didn't get alot of help regarding mods for the 400. What mods would have you done and how do they work?
Also, like to know how many 400 owners there are and if you could post pics of your quad!
THANKS!!!

Hey Redcat, lots of 400 owners out here! I got some picts of mine on my page.
No mods to mine, next year I will change tires, but that is probably about it.

I have an 02 400 auto. Never has gone fast enough for me but the wife says I would just end up in the hospital with a bigger model. she is probably right but what can you do? Got a gps mount, horn, and Contico Suv box mounted on the back rack, heated grips. In all reality it does everything that I need it to do, guess I am just a horsepower junkie, I ride a VTX 1800cc street bike. Kind of hard to climb off that onto the big ol 376

I have an 03 400i automatic. Love it. Only mods so far are a Kempex Trunk (love it) and just got it back today with the full-front brush guard and a Warn 2500...awesome. Ordered a rear bumper and a tank bag today. Pics coming....The 400 is an awesome all-purpose quad and plenty fast. Like I said before, 50 into the trees makes heap big ouch... Ride safe,

Mine's an '05 400i manual. Just over a 1000 miles on it since the last week in November. Been stupid twice; once playing at hill climbing and stood it straight up. Got saved by the utility basket on the back of the speed rack with a 5 gallon gas can that acted like a wheelie bar and kept in from doing me a big hurt and also the bike. The other time was a slow roll to the right and I can attest to the bike being very heavy, so could my seperated rib. Ride safe!

Okay you 400 owners did you find an increase in power or anything after a certain amount of break in? I know I have an 02 but it only has about 200 miles on it so I dont figure its broke in good yet, do I have anything to look forward to?

To answer okbow68, yes I could feel the difference. Also top speed increased a couple of mph's. Is everyone aware that the 400 is Arctic Cats best selling model, by a wide margin according to my dealer anyway.

well thats good to hear where was the break for you as far as mileage was concerned? I got mine up to 45mph according to the speedo last week on the road, I cant get her that fast on the dirt or grass. My wife has a twin to mine and it has always seemed a little faster and stronger, but like I say they both just have about 200 miles on them. Guess we need to get to ridin some more huh?
