#1
Ok about two months ago I broke my wrist trying to race MX it was my first time ever riding on a track and being the dumb-A$$ iam I wanted to start out on MX. Stupid descision BIG consiquences spent the night in the hospital. So its been about two months got the cast off and I want to start racing agian Im going to get some lessons on how to race very soon. Ive heard of GNCC, MX, XC,GP,hare scrambles and MX but I dont have any Idea what type of racing I should get into. I have an 04YFZ-450 got this qaud because im determined to do some type of racing(luckly there was no damage to this bike in the wreck i mentoined earlier). Iam pretty good at riding my YFZ I now how to shift correctly and never abuse the bike I also check everything on the bike before and after I ride. So my question to you guys is what would be the best type of racing for a beginner like me to start out on. Any help on this topic would be apriccated greatly.

it all depends on the type of rideing ur used to like do u ride trails all the time cuz if soo try some begginer gncc races or some hair scrambles....or if u race ur frineds all time like in an open field then mx is prob ur best bet

Im not trying to put you down or anything but just go back out there and try it again!! and again until u get the feel for it

Im 16 Im just scared of Mx becuase I saw how demanding and precise you have to be while riding on one of those type tracks and what kind consiqunces it can have on you and the bike. Im taking lessons on how to ride and how to jump very soon so that should help me out alot. Ive watched a few races MX races at my local tracks and saw that there werent a very many guys running on the ATV MX races.

well thats a hard class to start out in the 450 class or whatever it is!! i can handle both the 450's but i just dont have the cash to spend on one !!
i know how precise you half to be and it is hard at first my first race i wrecked 4 times now im usually coming in 2nd or something like that im doing really good to be racing as long as i have just pratice!! the yfz has the power to get the job done!!!
timing is everything!!!
now im jumping something like 70ft to 80ft gaps and tripples stuff like that
im still havent truoble with the whoops good luck withthe racing
