Has anyone read QUAD Offroad Magazine? There is an article in there where they say they have an inside person at Suzuki. He tells them he knows all about the Z450. This is the short part, I started to buy the mag and scan the article and paste it here. Anyway he says it has fuel injection, and it is approx. 3 inches wider than the Honda-Yamaha 450's. Also it is substantially lower than they too, more race ready. He says Doug Gust and another Suzuki rider will race it with Stock A-Arms , Shocks, and Swingarm, as these are built to RACE spec. He said Gust has ridden it alraedy and says it rides better than any aftermarket suspension or previous quads hes ever ridden , right outa the box. The exhaust is supposed to be some trick piece that helps maintain the low center of gravity they are after, the battery is mounted low and some other stuff. They are having tires made especially for it, The headlight is quik detachable and ready mounted for a race number plate. Get the mag and read the article it lists alot more stuff!

 

I know that last months ATV Action said they would have the full scoop on it in the next issue. So the info should be out any day now. As for what Gust says about it I'll wait till a normal rider gets to throw a leg over it. He gets paid over 100K to ride for them so he might be a little biased.

 

Thats true, but it sounds good that he says the suspension is race spec and all, well just have to wait and see. But from what "he" told them it has more inovative and or new stuff it will set the presedence. Like i said we'll see just how much it meets everyones expectation. Hopefully they will fulfill these expectations, I may actually have to go out and get one, even though ive kinda gotten outa the sport atv scene. I wanted to get a kfx700 for its lazy man auto tranny, but a bike that meets all the hipe out there now may change my mind.
