HPD high output ignition. CED?

Did the new ignition make a big or little difference? I need more low end fire I think. I want to rejet to 35 pilot and try the iridium spark plug to help it start off when stopped. Do you think this can help?

The ignition will definitely help,i am running a 35 gap right now.I talked to Darrell about the tab's on the igniter coil being very loose when you go to solder the wires to them.He informed me that they did have some problems, and if i sent the igniter coil back, that he would send me another one.He said they are wrapping the tab's different now.

It is hard to say because i did a pipe mod, ignition, new belt and new primary spring all at the same time.I can feel it definitely pulls harder,it sounds like the 35 pilot might do what you you want.I run alky and at the end of the day i purge the engine with race fuel,i use to have to change plugs out every time i ride, because purging would normally foul the plug.I have been running the same plug for 2 months now, with the new ignition.

the HPD ignition kit is my next mods to do,but it sound too expensive to me,
instead,i put a new 03 coil on mine and did removed all worthless wires
and lights, beam lights, everything but the on/off switch, the result is what i toughts to be,higher voltage ouput and more fire resulting in a smoother running engine and less vibrations,it did add some more power
but i can't say any numbers,i would guess a 15% increase in voltage tough cauze it did make a differences in the powerband,so the HPD kit would worth the money
if the 35% increase is true.

Before I would even consider spending that much more money, I want to make sure it does make a difference. I still have the problem where she just boggs at the initial hit of the throttle when stopped. I know it is not the clutches, been all over them. It does not even get the chance to rev or shift for that matter. I was hoping that either replacing the pilot to the 35, and replacing the ignition would help. The other option is to buy the new HPD race pipe from Darryl. The original pipe on this machine is one of the first types Darryl ever built. He says the new pipe will produce up to 10 more horses all thru the power band if I change it. Both mods are $300, which one do I take? We shall see since I have no money for either!!! I just graduated from school so lets see if there's any money involved from the party!!! LMAO!! I still think it would be a toss up as to which one will make the most difference for my problem. Thanks to all of you for your help. I will need to update my pics I guess.

I had a really bad bog out of the hole as well. But I am also on alcahol. With the stock ignition I couldnt make enough engine temp so I removed my radiator.
Since I installed the HPD ign. I can run my radiator again, with no bog.
my 2c.
Have you tried to play with your timing?
