rancher!

The Rancher won its class in a shoot out. We have one & really like it. If you need something with a little bigger motor then the Kodiak is very good. If money is no object then you could go with the big bad Polaris Sportsman 500.

Snowshark,
What shootout are you refering to? And what other machines where in it? As you could guess, I'm interested in how the wolverine compared to the rancher.
I considered the rancher when I went to buy, but I felt more comfortable on the wolverine.

Hi,
I have the 2001 Rancher 4x4. Although it is tough to steer due to the full-time 4WD, it's nothing you can't handle. The engine is an average 330cc air-cooled power-plant, but it was redesigned for the 2000 Rancher. You won't get that grunt you do from 400cc+ utility engines, but it has loads of torque. The quad is also extremely capable. I have done really steep hill climbs without any problems, and the 4WD system is extremely effective in deep mud and snow.
