Kodiak 450 Year Model
#1
I just bought a Kodiak 450 4x4. I was told that it was a 2004 model. However, all of the other 2004s I've seen online have a LCD speedometer. Mine doesn't. It just has a key in the handlebar center, two lights on each side of that, reverse, oil, etc. and close to the gas cap there is a small mechanical gas gauge. Any idea what year model this is? Did they make some 2004s w/o the speedometers?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Back to 2002, they had the digital gauge, for those sold in america. Did you get a bill of sale, with a vin number on it? The frame number, under the seat, and on the right side , should provide a year,of build.
Does it have an override switch, on the left handlebar grip? Its the grey button, at the bottom.
Did the last owner take the digital gauge off, for whatever reason, and add a bruin or 400 kodiak panel?

As I looked closer it doesn't even have decals stating 450, just ultramtic 4x4 and Kodiak. Could somebody please tell me what I've got? I'm assuming a 2000 Kodiak 400 4x4?
Thanks.

Theres always small claims court. You could try talking to the person who sold it to you, and say they misrepresented what they had, and you paid a price based on it being a 2004, but its a 2000. It aint over yet.

I got it from a family friend, so I'm not sure if he lied to me or perhaps he didn't really know. I'll say something to him about it but no need to go any further than that. I only paid $800 for it and it runs good, just needs a new set of brakes. He had that camo duct tape all over the body, so it was a pain pulling all of that stuff off and removing the glue. But everything is in pretty good shape, other than a few dings on the front bumper, which I'll replace.
Thanks.
Thanks.
