Hey guys I changed my oil today. Everything looked good filter, screen in the oil tank etc. I did find some little pieces of metal or some type of maybe metal or clutch material when I pulled out the main drain plug underneath. It looked like 3 or 4 small pieces, paper thin about 1/2 long and they were shaped some what like the shape of a front disc brake pad you would have your automobile. Has any one else seen this on their bikes? What the heck is it ? I have a 2004 DS 650 X. Thanks, D

 

Mrneg. My buddy had some gifts in his oil at the same location.....It was clutch plate tabs.......

How many times have you changed the oil? I found metal shavings on my drain plug after the first three oil changes.

 

Clutch plate tabs seems to be the logical answer. Thanks for the info. D
