Anybody cancel Holiday plans due to gas prices?

I was on the verge of canceling, but I had made plans to insulate our new hunting shed this weekend with my brother. His weekends off are few and far between, so I can't just bail out on it. Its a good thing I only have to drive about 120 miles each way.
I am going to be more vigilant about filling up my tank when it gets down to 1/2. The suburban has a 42 gallon tank, and that can be a little hard to take all at once...

We're still going to Vegas this weekend. It will cost me an extra $45 in gas from my gas guzzling truck. Sad, but it won't stop me from having fun, I'll just have to cut back on beer, maybe. Soon it will keep people from making trips to walmart and businesses and it will affect the entire economy, just wait and hold on. It's only just begun.

NO. I am still reroofing my stinking barn this weekend. WOO HOO!!
I did however buy the shingles this week because of fear of price increases due to the fact that shingles are made using petroleum, and that they blow off in hurricanes, causing shortages.

Well it looks like my plans are shot too. It will cost me too much this weekend with the gas being the way it is and plus getting two teenagers ready for school this week. Man, these dfamn kids are expensive. I suppose I will sit and watch the grass grow.

I agree... It is most definately gona hurt the economy. If people have to pay double for gas, then theyre not gona be as likely to go out to eat, or buy that new big screen tv.. ect.
I was going to take another trip to newtown va. for some drag racin last week. (240 mi one way) But we canceled because of gas $$
Its freakin rediculous

Alls I know is I'm going to Wellsville this weekend! I gotta go. We're gonna load em all on one truck and trailer and split the gas. Gotta do what you gotta do. Kahnman, you sure you can't swing it? Still not sure if we're going Saturday or Sunday.
I definately can't afford keeping my driving habits. My truck (like all trucks) sucks gas and it's definately going to sit in the driveway a lot more with gas over $3 a gallon. Looks like I'll be spending more time on these forums!
