Hey in one of the post I read that if ya look at the info card that comes with the bike it say, carburetion 34mm CV Mikuni. I look at mine and it does, my understandment was that is shared the Scramblers carb which is 40mm. What gives, is this just a missprint or do all HO have the 34mm CV Mikuni?

SO the question remains, 40 or 34? My new H.O. Born 9/7/00 had a card on the handlebars saying 34mm carb. The Website says 40mm. It looks just like the 34 on my old 2000 SP. How do you tell the difference? Take it off and measure it? Nah. Is there some easy way to tell?
I wouldn't change anything, and boy is that unusual for me not to want to f**k with something!! The H.O. is great, but I do kinda miss the smoother ride of the SP, but the better control with the tighter suspension, to go with the increase in power, is worth it.

EXP425 just ordered a scrambler/H.O. cam for it!

I waent to a dealer and measured a carb for the ho and it read in the smallet part of the carb 38.67mm so thats close but it aint no 40 or 34 so that seals that ? up.

Just read a review on the 2001 SP500 HO. They said that it has a 40mm carb. It was one of the reasons why the power gain over the standard SP500. It was a good review, they had some good things to say about it.

As always, the supplement that “comes with the manual” tells of all the changes from the first printing of that vehicle, in the HO case 40 mm carb.
