My 650 v2 was blowing oil into the air box and it was caused by the crankcase over filled with oil. When i checked it, it smelled like gas. Someone was trying to start it and flooded the motor and gas got in the crankcase. So I changed the oil and filter and filled it to the right amount. Then it quit doing it.

I agree with hobut, most likely to much oil in the crankcase. Check the oil level. The dip stick on the 650 V-2 is suppose to be screw in to check oil level.

I had the same issue, but I was asked if I had stood my bike up on the grab bar, which I had. Gas / oil was seaping into the air box and puddling. I cleaned the box out and I have not had an issue since. good luck....

I own one of the fore fathers of your motor. The oil coming out of the breather is not a problem. It is from you filling the oil to the correct level. When you get into off camber angles the oil is forced up the tube. What others have done to keep this from happening is not to put quite as much oil in. Even the guys who race them have said that the little lower oil level has never hurt anything.

Thanks for all your answers.. The oil is right on to a little low...But on the last ride their was alot of hills. Up down and side hill..so am going to go with that being the problem..It only went down a little bit..So I will leave it at that..

yes we have two 05 650v2 cats and one of them does the same thing, i am going to try that and reduce the oil level, the dealer told me that that i should go to a higher viscosity oil but my other bike has the same oil in it and its fine, i am going to lower the level slightly...

Make sure there isn't any oil in your gas. Some of the Kawi motors tend to leak gas from the carbs into the engine. Make sure you shut your fuel off when you park it. Do a search in the Kawasaki forum for more info.
