I bought a new 05 sportsman 600 last week and when the fan comes on it seems to stay on.
This was while I was doing some easy trail riding, riding along 15-20mph. Is this norm? I know there is a recall on the fans or something but I checked and my vin # doesnt fall under it.

And another question is I see on Polairs's website they claim you get another double your warrenty( 1 year instead or the 6months) but when I asked my dealer they told me that the offer had ran out. Does any one know about that?

 

Stop! Grab your garden hose, and wash the silt and mud out of the radiator before you overheat it! Then wash it again. These machines collect every piece of dirt off the trail and deposit it on the radiator..... There is even someone here that offers a trail washing kit, it is at quadovator.com .

By the way, where in Maine do you ride?
