another scrambler clutch ?
#1
I have read about 50 threads on clutching so far and I'm still confused about what would be the best setup for me. I have recently purchased an 04 scrambler 500 4x4 and I will be putting 24's on the rear and 25's on the front. I plan on a wb slip on exhaust and a k&n filter. What I'm interested in finding out is if I should go for the whole clutch kit or just play around with different springs untill I'm satisfied? Also should I re-jet, and if so what jet?. I ride mostly gnarly trails on some steep terrain so low end is important but I also like to fly down the dirt roads. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

I would think about a TEAM roller secondary and a Heelclicker front clutch kit.Call both and tell them what you want.

Thanks for the info:
I looked up both items and found the heel clicker clutch so I will call them, but the only TEAM roller secondary that I can find on the pure polaris website is for snowmobiles. I guess I'm looking at the wrong thing so any further info would be great

Go to www.hotseatperformance.com we offer anyting you will need for that quad. There are alot of options you can go with on cluthcing too.. On the jetting wb or who ever you bought that from shoudl have the proper jetting specs? I know we send out proper jetting and cluthcing specs with all of our kits.

I helped a friend install a white brothers slip on, no jetting was needed as long as you don;t increase the number of discs that are sent installed with it. If you run more discs you will need to rejet some.

that can depend on the discs, I thought it sounded good, deep and powerful without being obnoxiously loud.
