Default 01 Raptor jerks forward after shift in to 1st

I don't know if this is normal. My Raptor will lunge forward when shifting from neutral to 1st. Similar to an old automatic car when shifting into D. Any ideas?

You mean fully Dis-engaging? I dont know. I could try to jack the back-end up, put it in 1st and hold the clutch (disengage) to see if the wheels turn.

Is it only the first time each day. Once its fully warmed up, does it still do that?
Its pretty normal for a wet clutch to behave this way, the oil is cold and thicker, and theres still drag on the clutch plates even with the clutch lever pulled in. But once the motor is hot, it shouldnt do it. Check the adjustment of the cable, if it does it all the time.

yeah my dirtbike does that I thought my clutch was going but my engine guy said it was just the plates sticking. When i Start my dirtbike up for the first time of the day with the clutch all the way in when i drop into first it bucks a bit or stalls if i dont have enough throttle then doesnt do it again. I dont know if theres somthing you can do to "fix" it but i was told its not damaging so i didnt mess with it

It does it all the time, harder when cold. I tried jacking the rear and running it in 1st with the clutch disengaged to see if the clutch is dragging. No drag.

Is the idle speed too high?

I think its just right. Sounds like about 3-5 strokes per second. I asked my neighbor if his crotch rocket did this and he said yes.

move the adjuster out 1/2 turn at a time to see if it improves
