Well the DS is already a 650 and has already been released for 06 with no real changes. I've been hearing about a 660 for a while now.

well my opinion is that it will be an outlander but im not totally sure because we got to talking to the leor manager in illinois and he told us that when they brought the 800's for the southern il show that they also brought a lightweight ds660 with fuel injection so you never know what they'll have next

Anyone out there read the Big Bore write up in Quad Magazine ?
The DS is starting to show her age.
I tend to agree with them that "an unmodified" the DS in stock from the factory is under powered, heavy, and hits the Rev limiter to soon.
To think of producing anything shy of a EFI 750cc range, LIGHTER DS is a waste of time and effort IMHO with the impressive improvements Yamaha's 700r is putting up I think the DS needs some help. Maybe Mr. HorsePower can call BRP and help them out ?
I am still vary VARY happy with my DS but would like to see BRP setup up to the plate !
The DS is vary Durable long lasting machine but like the dinosaur it must evolve and not just change colors.
IMHO
