I was thinking of some diff. paddles and was hearing some good stuff on them. I was also wondering how well they are at play riding.? I've got a set of 21X12X8 Extreme 10 paddle haulers(for racing) and a set of Sand Stars(for playing). I'd like the best of both worlds and was considering the 21X12X8 8 paddle edge but was wanting some feedback on the padla brats first. Anyone run them?

 

I'm not running them but I've looked into them. From what I've read and seen they are more of a drag tire than a play tire. The edge is a nice setup and still hooks up great in a straight line, but IMO you've got the prime setup as you are. A set of good inexpensive v paddles for fun and a set for drags and hills.

Thanks for the replys guys. Maddog. Theses tires really are kind of a mystery. Unlike skat-trac tires they are kind of an unknown tire to the recreational rider(probably cause of the price). I think they would be a pretty good all around tire. Getting the most out of a sand tire is key in a drag race I'm sure. Don't want too much or not enough. I think there's definately something to be said for finding the right combination of paddles and the right tire as well. Ahh.. the quest for the perfect paddle? Will it ever be found?
