Anyone Run Padla Brats??
#1
I was thinking of some diff. paddles and was hearing some good stuff on them. I was also wondering how well they are at play riding.? I've got a set of 21X12X8 Extreme 10 paddle haulers(for racing) and a set of Sand Stars(for playing). I'd like the best of both worlds and was considering the 21X12X8 8 paddle edge but was wanting some feedback on the padla brats first. Anyone run them?

Padla Brats are lighter than your skat traks. They have more options as far as grooving is concerned and they are a molded tire (paddles won't rip off). Last set I had was on my LT500 (see my pics) and absolutely loved them. I am probably going to buy another set for my Banshee. I consider them the best sand tire I've ever owned. I've had Haulers, Extreme Haulers, Sand Stars, AMS sidewinders and Sand Skate II's. If you get a set of Brat's grooved properly you can use them for both racing and play riding. Hope this helps.

Thanks zillarider. Another thing is that my bike is heavy,an automatic and needs an edge in getting out of the hole quicker on drags against direct drive quads but would still like to be able to dune too. Is there a certain kind of grooving you need for certain applications i.e. weight of machine, drag racing, play riding? Thanks again.
Oh yeah where's the best place to find them. They aren't as easily found as Skat-Tracs are.

Get in touch with Jim at Jims Sand Toys in Waynoka,OK. As with the grooving, I think everybody does it a little different. I had him cut a little over 1/2 of every paddle off (stagger cut like a buggy tire) and was really pleased with them. For a heavier bike like yours, you may need a little more hook.
