lighten my scram 400
#1
i have a scrambler 400 4x4 and next summer i want to lighten it by taking stuff off that i will b able to put back on for winter. i plan on taking off my 4 wheel drive and getting my flywheel machined and taking some plastic off and maybe the lights.

I dont know about taking these things off just for winter but a lot of people remove the oil injection, battery (with eliminator), electric starter, floorboards and cut plastics.
I would try a lighter alum wheel tire combo.

the 4x4 is a pain it is not worth all the trouble but i took my electric start off and put little car fog lights as my new lights you will need to battery for the lights and 4x4 but that is bout it take that stock exhaust off and that will save bout 7 to 8 pounds.

the flywheel thing is an engine mod and will only let your
motor to snap faster at all throttle opening,to drop the most weight
you'll have to take off the 4x4 out,the floorboards and the battery
holder plate, and the battery itself.oil injection removed,
plastic guards,,,all those frame thing to take out will drop
the most weight on that quad, and not the least, the stocker swingarm
is a tad too heavy too.
