You can use Amsoil Series 2000 Chaincase lube. It works GREAT as a substitute to the Polaris AGL fluid.

What you refer to as an automatic transmission is not. The Polaris has a belt driven "automatic" with a drive clutch (on the engine) and a driven clutch (on the input to the gearbox) and a belt in between. It is the gearbox that you are referring to. The gearbox does no gear shifting at all, other than when you switch from forward to reverse or to low. It is simply a transfer case of sorts that gets power from the clutch system to the rear wheels. It consists of a bunch of gears, sprockets and chains. The belt and 2 clutches do all the "gear shifting".
Do not use ATF in the gear box. There is nothing hydraulic about the gearbox. It requires a good quality synthetic gear lube. Personally, for the quantity required and the infrequent changes required, I use the synthetic offering from Polaris. Others here do use other products with no problems. I am sure someone will be kind enough to provide info on other products. My vote, us the Polaris stuff!
