I'm now considering the Foreman 500FM as a near future purchase, and want to get one that is free of the recalls if I do get one. What is the VIN# range for the clutch problem?

 

I have a 2005 Foreman ES I got in July of this year. I had the a-arm recall and the clutch recall taken care of with no problems. In either case I had no complaints about my Foreman proir to both recalls. Honda notified me both times by mail. If you find a Foreman on the show room floor, I believe the law states it must have all recall work completed before being sold. I sure the 06's have been corrected at the factory?? I also own a 2004 Goldwing which has had several service bulletins/recalls performed. Again I had the work done and never had any problems before or after the recall. I think Honda finds a problem in a few machines and recalls a model to avoid a bigger problem. -Joe.

 

BTW, I Looked at my recall forms and can't help you out with a VIN# Range.
