Does the 800 have a break in chip? Is there a large performance gain after 10 hours. I know the 2 stroke Ski doo's had the chip, but not sure if the 4 stroke bomb would have one.

On the two strokes, the chip was programmed to run richer and retard the timing. At the 10 hour mark it was programmed to burn out.

 

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT MAX RPMS SHOULD BE?I HAVE 350 MILES AND MAX RPMS ARE AS FOLOWS-FOWARD LOW MAX 8,000 FOWARD HIGH MAX 6,500 AND REVERSE MAX 8,000. I DONT KNOW WHY I CANT GET 8,000 RPM IN HIGH. THANKS RICH

 

Have you taken it off any sweet jumps in reverse at 8,000 rpm?

That is odd if it revs to 8k in everything else, why it wouldnt in high. What does it show as your top speed in high revving out at 6.5k?

 

I cant say FOR SURE but I have 280 miles on my 800 Max and I just dont feel any more power gains.With that said,I think this programed chip thing is not true.I could be wrong.

 

6,500 rpms and aprox 68 mph,anyone know what there max rpm is in high gear? thanks rich

 

Try running 7psi back and 5psi front and see what your top speed is after a full mile. Don't forget to tuck and keep it in 2wd. Also are you running 10w-40 synthetic or some 20w-50 thick stuff. Every little thing helps. You really need a GPS as your speedo could be off.
