I've been thinking about having heated grips and a thumb warmer installed mainly for use when plowing snow . I would like to know how they perform and if anyone has experience with the grips and thumb warmer . Thanks for any info . By the way , the cost is $60.00 installed for both items .

Heated hand grips are worth the money!!
I ride in the snow in Canada, and they help a lot.

I haven't used them on an ATV, but I rode a Polaris Indy 500 Snowmobile around Yellowstone that had heated grips and throttle and they worked very well. I had on my heavy Gore-Tex skiing gloves and I could still feel the heat in my hands.

One thing they had that you may want to look into having two settings for the heat. The low setting was good for me while the high setting was a little too warm. The woman I was with liked having the extra heat of the high setting. I would imagine that you would want different amounts of heat under different conditions.

I used to have hand and thumb warmers on my Polaris Trailblazer, which I don't have anymore. But they worked great. When I rode in winter, I was the only one with nice toasty hands when we were done riding. Your thumb stays warm also from the thumb warmer. Both hand/thumb warmers had a high and low setting, which I liked. The high I used for winter when it was really cold and when "high" would get my hands too hot I would switch it to low. Low was nice for those cool days in spring and your hands get a little cold.
