I'm a new member as of today and must say this forum provides alot of info.I own Polaris Snowmobiles and Quads.I pretty much wore out an Explore400 95'.Had over 6000miles and could not justify putting more money into it.Traded in for 2000 sportsman500.Nice machine.Rode the old 400 through everything and it performed awesome.I must have to say though that I'm not impressed with the 500sp,the 400explorer has way more get up and go through the mud and won't power down like the 500sp.I know the weight diff. is a major factor.Anyone with same experience or comments please reply. Also would appreciate any help on a new prim.spring ,secondary spring and weights to wake this 500sp up.

Welcome to the Forum. You've come to the right place for modification info. I'll let the more knowledgable make the recommendations though. Good luck with the new bike.
