Replacing shocks on Kazuma 90 any ideas???
#1
Hi everyone. I purchased a Kazuma 90 from RacewayATV and am extremely pleased with the folks there. The customer service is literally second to none.
First thing on my list is to change the suspension out to something a bit better. The front and rear shocks are the same size ....10 3/4" from eye to eye.
My question is this, does anyone know of any quads with those size shocks? Was looking at possibly the Honda 250ex. I know that the Kawasaki Bayou 220 has front shocks that are 11 1/4", so that would work I think. Also, I hadnt thought of it until now, but would a child that weighs 50 pounds be able to use these shocks? Im not sure how they would respond.
Any and all informatino would be highly appreciated.
On a side note, I am aware that they make elkas, works, etc shocks for this quad, but I did not want to spend that much money on the suspension on this.
Thanks again,
Corey

anybody have any ideas? I found an xtreme rear shock that is the same length, eye to eye. It also looks to be a whole lot better with adjustment and everything. I dont know however if a pair of rear shocks would be ok to put on the front also. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Corey

I would go to ebay and look for used shocks there. Some list eye to eye dimensions in their ad, but if not just ask them a question. I wouldnt get a shock that was to much longer than stock, maybe a 1/4 inch at most. I also would think that rear shocks on the front would be to stiff but youed have to try it to know for sure. I do know that Eton shocks are better than most but new they arent cheap either.
