canadian tire quads

Don't plan on Crappy tire doing any service work. Immediatly upon purchase change the oil and spark plug. very carefully go through the front end and check torque on all the bolts, check the chain tension, wheel studs, etc. Plan on the most thourough 10 hours of pre operation maintenance you can do. Its a Honda 90 copy from LiFan which is a good little motor, the frame and suspension seems to be great on some, and just ugly on others. Canadian Tire has had a Kasea a few years ago, which for a 2-stroke was a good little machine if it wasn't popping CDI's, did ok, I have one in the shop to rebuild We have a 50 and a 90 Lifan horizontal - Both baby Raptor knockoffs by Giovanni, although they claim to not have built a 90 yet (go figure!!) we replaced every bolt and nut on the suspension to grade 6 Allen head with nylock nuts set to 100ft/lb torque no issues, touch wood; engines are great, electronics ok, tires all needed tubes cause the rims were horrid - leaked like a sieve. Depending on what size you need Giovanni.ca sells a ATV50 in a crate for a good price (under a grand CDN) Don"t let your kid do air time, it seems to be the biggest cause of these little knock-offs dying an early death.

look at the front a-arms for example, rear swing arm etc -identical-i found out for sure they are yamaha built , before i allowed my good old dad to buy one. in the plastic off pics they are the same atv, another member to this site bought lots of parts all yamaha. i forget where exactly but i found details online all about the factory that yamaha owns in china . story is these are japaneeze asembled engines ,shafts , diffs---and almost every other part is made in japan , and then final asembly is in china saving tons of money ,inspected by jap tecks,to yamaha standards. yamaha has a huge high volume engine factory in japan for this 250 engine thats used in lots of models , so hitting this lower price point is moving more of them.

I know a few people that have em, as long as they run they are great....getting parts is like calling the pope....GOOD LUCK!! would buy a gio or a Daymak before these, except the 250, which, as noted above, is a yamaha in drag....
