spring spacers for front shocks
#1
ok Gentlemen and ladies, what do the 1", 1.5", & 2" spring spacers do? I understand it would lift the front (?). would it help with the squat associated with using a snow plow? I purchaced the Polaris rubber spring inserts and they seem to help some but as I look at a lot of members signatures I see a lot of front spacers. I have the mag 330 and the front springs are very soft. Not sure I want a stiffer spring as I'm not sure how much it would affect the handling of quad. But mainly just wanted to know about the spring spacers.

Hey whats up. The spring spacers help with the sag that Polaris has from the factory. With a plow on a 330 you will need at least 1.5" aof lift/spacer.I have home made 2" on all my machines. and one of them is a 330. check out my pics.

hey kj330 Thanks for the reply. I'm an electrician so I grabbed a couple of 2" couplings from the shop today. Hope to have them on by the end of the week. I'm also working on my truck , bearings and brakes, so right now my garage is pretty cramped. I'll just have to make time to get it done.
I also noticed you have a big bore kit on your atp. Do you like it? Would you encourage others to do the same?

Ya. My wife now rides this machine, I ride my SP700. The ATP doesn't keep up with my 700 but it is 100% better than new. It has the same power as a SP 400. The ATP has a lower rear end gear ratio, so it has more pulling power. It now has power all thru the power band.
