help!!!! my 10 yr old brother in law has a yamoto 150 but it will not more than about 5 mins then it dies. it starts good then u get on it and ride it to the end of the driveway or across the field and it will die. i have done everything i know to do or check.

 

What year is the Yamoto. I know last year and the previous years had problems with the fuel tank vent on the cap not venting. This would cause a suction and would only run about 1-2 min then die. After sitting for a few it would start and run but then die after a few. Sounds like a fuel restriction somewhere or the vent.

 

Pull the hose off the cap and make sure there is a hole in the cap. The Yamoto I bought for my wife did not have this. It was nothing an awl could not fix. HTH.
