I've noticed that whenever I cross a creek or get my Scrambler in water up over the front hubs my motor seems to run rough. It's like the engine starts mis-firing when I'm in the water, not terribly but I can hear it running rough. As soon as I get out of the creek it smooths right out. Could this have something to do with the wiring that runs to the front hubs shorting out maybe? That's the only thing I can possibly think of because the water isn't that deep usually, just about to the footrest.

The spark plug boot is *not* attached to the spark plug wire (by design). Pull the wire out of the boot, apply dielectric grease to the insulation (not to the bare wire) and push it back in the boot. Make sure it is pushed in as far as it will go.
