Effects of blown base gasket?
#2
A blown base gasket would cause the engine to suck in air, causing a more lean condition. You might see a little fuel/oil that is seeping out of the gasket area. I had this happen on my 82 ATC250R.
You can take a punch and make a small dent in the cases or cylinder on both left and right sides. This will pinch/grip the gasket better.

Ok, thanks for the help. I didnt figure that my problem could be that simple, but there is always hope =)
Anyway, I ordered 2 new base gaskets, under the impression that running 2 will bump up compression. Is this correct? Thanks
