I was just looking to get confirmation.
How much can I mill off the stock head to raise compression and get away with using pump premium???
I think 0.040" is ok.
Does that sound about right????

Most all can handle .030..... .040 should be OK.

On the LT 50,80 they have a decent head design so .030 off the head works. On the "chiwanese" quads like you'r eton theres way more clearance in the head than is needed. /030 or .040 wont help much. The head also has a very dated and poorly designed squish chamber with a raised ring in it that will hit your piston if you try to get the dome down to raise compression right. Basically you can get a very good aftermarket cast head for not much $ or a billett one for $100. Thats what I'd do. That will work much better than a milled head on your Eton. Just my $.02

Ya, what's up with that ring in the head? I have the better head on my one eton. This is actually for a friends Dinli-it has the same ring. I broke down and ordered a head. I think you're all right. It's not much more $, so we just went for it. We're just trying to get it a bit more torque. Hope that does the trick.
