Ozark 250 front brake help....

Default Ozark 250 front brake help....

Ok i went to go change out the front brakes and well i cant get the piston back into the caliper so i can install the new pads. i was wondering if there was some trick to pushing the piston back in to the caliper.... The quad is an 05...

wow almost 24 hours and no one knows how to seat the piston... c'mon everyone.

Default Ozark 250 front brake help....

get a C-clamp and a piece of 2x4....put the 2x4 on the back of the caliper, putting the stationary part of the clamp on the 2x4....then put the other side of the clamp on the piston....job done

ahh well i guess i wasnt trying hard enough than... lemme try a different clamp and see what comes from it...

Default Ozark 250 front brake help....

Also, you probably already know this, but make sure that the brake fluid resevoir cap is off. If it is on, then it will be VERY difficult to push it in.

When you push the piston back in, make sure you are pushing straight in and not at an angle too.

Ya i had the whole caliper off the quad so the cap doesnt matter. ill try this weekend and see what happens.

Yup it worked. took me a whole 30 minutes for both sides. also installed the stage 2 jet kit as well. im loving the new power and stopping abilities!
